FAQs.


What is the minimum stay?

Our minimum stay is 2 nights in our shepherd huts unless booked in conjunction with a spa day when we allow 1 night stays.


What days can we check-in? 

The shepherd huts check-in days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.


What are the arrival and departure times?

Check-in time is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am.

Is parking available?

Yes! We provide secure, off street parking. Each shepherds hut is allocated 1 space.

Can I use the pool?

Yes! All shepherd hut and spa guests have access all year to the heated pool and adjacent hot tub. Pool opening times are 10am - 5pm. Unfortunately the pool can't be used on check-out day.

Can I use the Woodland Sanctuary with sauna?

The Woodland Sanctuary is available to book for shepherd hut guests by the hour as an extra. For spa guests please check the details of your spa package to see if the sauna is included.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate dogs due to the proximity of our livestock.

Can we travel to Old Rectory House by public transport?

Due to the rural location our public transport links are limited. Our nearest train station is Taunton (25 mins drive) which is well connected. Then you would need to get a taxi from there. Please contact us for local taxi details.

Where can we charge electric vehicles?

We have our own 7.4 kW electric car charger onsite! Please let us know if you'd like to charge your vehicle during your stay.

Do I have my own hot tub?

Yes, all of our accommodations have their own private wood-fired hot tub as well as access to the hot tub adjacent to the pool

What is your deposit and cancellation policy?

You pay a 50% deposit upon booking and the balance is due 2 weeks before your arrival. If you cancel more than 2 weeks before your stay you will lose your deposit.  If you cancel within 2 weeks of your stay you will lose the whole cost of the holiday. However, if we manage to rebook your dates we will offer you a refund. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance.

Are any condiments provided?

In all our accommodations we provide; salt & pepper, oil, sugar, tea & coffee and milk. We also provide a welcome pack of local drinks.

Are logs/charcoal provided?

We provide all the logs for your hot tub and wood burners for the duration of your stay. Charcoal and gas are also provided for your BBQs.

Can you help with a surprise?

Of course! If you're arranging a surprise get in touch to see how we can help. If you want to send any decorations etc ahead of your stay, we can put them up ready for your arrival.
